Top 5 Zelda Fan Made Videos

In celebration of the recent global release of the highly anticipated Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, I have scoured the Internet in search of the 5 best fan-made Zelda themed video’s that have made a significant impression on me enough so that I have become compelled to spread their awesomeness to the furthest reaches of the universe!… well… to you guys anyway.

1. Known all over the Internet for their childish antics and questionable humour, Smosh have been around for a good few years producing hundreds of videos ranging everywhere from comical vlogs to parodies and even music videos. This brings me to the recent release of their Zelda Rap video showing off a heap load of great costumes, locations and musical expertise which definitely had me clicking the re-play button a couple of times.  – language warning –

2. Another comedic pioneer who has spread his influence across the Internet is Arin Hanson. Commonly known as egoraptor, Arin is an accomplished animator and voice actor who has graced the web with his hilariously ridiculous and witty animations, producing a number of hugely popular series’s such as Girlchan in Paradise and the Awesome Series. The Legend of Awesome caught my eye a few years back and I have always come back to watch Link’s epic journey squeezed into a humorous nutshell.  – language warning –

3. This amazing project definitely caught my eye… or should I say ear, as Lindsey Stirling, an expert violinist and skilled gymnast has remastered a number of the best known Zelda themes into a fantastical medley, linking (see what I did there) some amazing camera work and an array of beautiful locations into one stunning music video that captivated me from start to finish.

4. Causing a massive stir in the LoZ community only minutes after it’s release onto the web, IGN’s Legend of Zelda live-action movie trailer detailed the events of Link’s eventual transformation into the Hero of Time. Although it was soon confirmed to be an April Fool’s joke, the masterful visuals, intricate character costumes and detailed locations truly made myself and many others believe that the day had finally come for a Legend of Zelda feature film… which I am still waiting for by the way.

5. While not your typical LoZ fan project, this was one of the first video’s that popped into my head when making this list simply because of the professional quality and care put into it. These two popular musicians known on their YouTube channels as CS Guitar89 and FamilyJules7x have made hundreds of game themed music video’s between them, and for this epic song they have combined their skills in order to produce the most awe-inspiring rock version of the Hyrule Field theme yet.
