Preview: Beyond Two Souls Early Access Demo Full Playthrough

 

Yesterday I was lucky enough to get my hands on an early access demo for the forthcoming Beyond: Two Souls, which stars Hollywood icons; Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe.  In the first chapter of the demo, entitled ‘The Experiment’, it’s clear within the opening minutes that this game is sure to be one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride.  It starts off with a young Jodie Holmes (Ellen Page), going through a series of tests conducted by Nathan Dawkins (Willem Dafoe).

It’s clear that Jodie is not a happy child, as she has had far from a normal childhood and despite Nathan being somewhat of a father figure and despite these tests causing obvious stress to Jodie, it’s something that Nathan has to do, but it’s clear that it pains him too.  Jodie is always accompanied by her spirit entity called Aiden and as much of a power he is for Jodie to have, he’s also an incredible burden.  As you can see from the first part of the demo, Jodie demonstrates her power with little to worry about, but soon things escalate out for her control.

The second part of the demo entitled ‘Hunt’; see’s a much older Jodie on the run from the police. She’s tired, stressed and just wants to be left alone.  But unfortunately for her (and them), that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon.  So please enjoy my full playthrough of the Beyond: Two Souls early access demo.

Beyond: Two Souls will release exclusively for the Playstation 3 on October 8th in North America and the 11th across Europe.
