RUMOUR: Xbox One To Be Released 8th November?

Thanks to the Sony conference at Gamescom last week, we all know that the Playstation 4 has got a confirmed release date of November 15th (USA) and November 29th (Europe) 2013. The fact that Microsoft didn’t even hint at a release date left everyone asking the same question; When is it out? Considering the beating Microsoft have taken during E3 and Gamescom, you would’ve thought that they would need to release their console earlier than Sony to try and get a small advantage in sales. It seems that might be happening after all.

Kotaku Australia received some information form a source that works within a marketing company for the American retail giant Walmart. They have passed an e-mail which details all the midnights openings that the retail chain has planned. As you can see as you look down the lovely list, 1 week before the release of the Playstation 4….8th November Xbox 1.

Of course, this hasn’t been confirmed (or denied) by Microsoft that this is indeed a confirmed date. So until we hear directly from Microsoft we should all take this with a pinch of salt. I do feel that they need to hurry up and confirm a release date as the longer they leave it, the more of a lead Sony will get. Get your act together Microsoft!
