Xbox Live Rewards To Offer Microsoft Points For Achievements

Xbox Live Rewards has announced that they will be offering MS points in return for unlocking Achievements.

Members of XBL Rewards that have amassed a Gamerscore of between 3000 and 9999 will receive a “special gift during your birthday month”, likely meaning an avatar item.

Bigger Gamerscores net you bigger rewards. Gamers with a Gamerscore of between 10,000 and 24,999 get a 1% rebate on their Xbox Live Marketplace purchases per month, whereas if you have over 25,000 Gamerscore, you’ll get a 2% rebate.

 

It’s a great idea, with plenty of potential, but it’s a bit worrying that they don’t offer any greater rewards after reaching over 25,000. Let’s hope they improve on it in the future.
