Celebi Special Research Arrives Next Week in Pokémon Go
Fans of Pokémon Go have been eagerly awaiting the next Special Research tasks following the previous Mew. Thankfully Niantic has announced that the new Special Research tasks will arrive next week starting on August 20th and by completing the quest-line, you will be rewarded the Mythical, Celebi from the Johto region.
If the name Celebi rings a bell in Pokémon Go, that’s because last month, it was released to the 21,000 players in attendance at the Chicago Go Fest. So it’s great that the rest of the world will now able to acquire this Pokémon. While we don’t know what tasks will be involved to nab Celebi just yet, expect a lot of transferring, catching, evolving and possibly even some trading.
If you’re yet to finish the Mew Special Research tasks, you’ll have until when Celebi arrives on August 20th, so you better get that done ASAP. Once we know what the Celebi tasks will involve, we’ll update you here in this very article.
