Following long-queues where some fans were asked to leave after hours of waiting, signal issues and more, the Pokémon Go Safari event in Dortmund, Germany, wasn’t short of technical issues.  You can read a more in-depth insight to the free event courtesy of Eurogamer here.  For those in attendance at the event, there was an increased spawn rate of Shiny Pokémon and Corsola, a Pokémon usually only found around the equator.

So to apologise for any mishaps caused at the event, Niantic has released Corsola into the wild for everyone to catch, although it’s only for 48 hours, so you’ll have to get in there quickly!  However, quite rightly so, this move has not gone down well for fans that travelled to Dortmund, who may have paid all kinds of expenses in travel and accommodation, just to find out that everyone can now catch this Pokémon, even if you never attended the event in Dortmund.  Some fans even travelled to the event to horde Corsola, to trade with their friends once they returned home.

For people like myself, this is great, but I understand why fans that travelled are feeling very annoyed, as seen in the tweets below.  Corsola will stop appearing in the wild by the end of tomorrow (July 4th) and so too will the increased spawn rate for Roselia, which gives a good chance of catching her Shiny equivalent.  This Sunday will see the next Pokémon Community Day featuring Squirtle.
