Fallout Shelter coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 as free download tomorrow!

Bethesda has announced that the mobile title Fallout Shelter is arriving tomorrow (February 7th) for Xbox One and Windows 10.  It will also be a Play Anywhere title and best of all, it will be a free download.  I’m guessing like the mobile version, it will make its money via micro-transactions (which is fine, because it’s a Free-to-Play title after wall).

In Fallout Shelter you play the role of an Overseer as you manage your very own Vault by keeping your dwellers happy, sending them out on scavenge missions, building facilities within your Vault and much more.  You will also level-up your Dwellers in the Vault, as well as your facilities, all while defending your home from on-coming attacks from the Wastelands many dangers.

With Fallout Shelter being a Play Anywhere title, you will be able to switch between the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions, carrying on from your saved game and you will also earn achievements while doing so.

As a fan of Fallout Shelter on Android, I am very much looking forward to playing this on the big screen HDTV and seeing how (if) it improves on its mobile counterpart.  Fallout Shelter will be free to download for Xbox One and Windows 10 from Tuesday February 7th.  There is no word as of yet as to whether this will be coming to PS4, but as always, we’ll keep you posted if we hear any news on that.
