It’s been a while since I’ve played the Mortal Kombat X mobile game, which by the way, has now been renamed simply Mortal Kombat.  However, thanks to the latest update, I might just return to see if it’s worth getting back into again.

To coincide with the forthcoming release of Mortal Kombat 11, update 2.0 will update and add new fighters to the mobile roster with the versions seen in MK11.  Some of the characters have been upgraded to Gold and Diamond Tiers.  For example, MK11 Raiden and MK11 Jade are now Gold fighters, and they can be added to your roster by completing the new Trials mode.  While Scorpion can be earned through Faction War.

The existing 23 Gold tier fighters have now also been upgraded to the Diamond tier.  Additionally, update 2.0 also improves the games User Interface, adds a new Quest Map and store items as well as upgrading the game to run on Unreal Engine 4.

Are you going to be giving the Mortal Kombat mobile game a try or perhaps you might be a returning player?  Let us know across our social media channels.

Mortal Kombat 11 will release for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on April 23rd.  Those that pre-order the game will also gain access to its beta this month for PS4 and Xbox One on March 28th.
