Prince Of Persia Retro Leaping Onto The App Store

We’ve gotten used to seeing our little friend do all sorts of acrobatic tricks on our favourite games consoles. Well now he will be closer to us than ever.

The Prince of Persia franchise is certainly up in arms at the moment as the Prince not only gets his own movie but also Ubisoft has just released Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands on Xbox and PS3.

Prince of Persia Retro is a part of the original 1989 platformer that most definitely left a mark on the gaming world. With this new…well, retro title, containing all that you would expect from the game such as clever puzzles to acrobatic combat, you are also on a time limit of sixty minutes where you must escape an evil vizier’s dungeon before he marries the one you love. Within that hour, you must navigate a labyrinth of rooms, leap over chasms, look out for deadly traps and fight off deadly swordsmen.

Prince of Persia will be available to play on the Apple iPhone, Touch and iPad. The release date as of now hasn’t been announced but we expect it to hit the App Store very soon.
