The Playstation Phone is now practically official!

Now this phone, the Playstation Phone, has been flying round the interwebs for about 10 centuries now (dates possibly inaccurate but it’s for perspective). And as that time has gone on, more and more has been shown. But here’s the good news, the Playstation Phone, Or Xperia Play as it will probably be called, looks like it’s going to have an official release date soon.

According to Mobile News, link below, the phone will officially be announced next month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This is pretty exciting, as it should rival the iPhone for gaming superiority as well as all the new Windows Phone 7 devices that have the xbox live integration. This phone has a 1-up on all of those though, it possess a slide-out control pad! Just like the PSP Go.

Sadly, there are no new pictures or anything to go with this, but enjoy some of the pictures i have found. And for those who don’t know much about this phone it will boast a 1Ghz processor, 4 inch LCD screen, will run on Android Gingerbread and will have the Sony Marketplace app pre-installed so you can grab whatever titles they put up which i assume will be PSP games and PS1 games.
