A Friendly Glitch From Modern Warfare 2

I know I’ve already wrote a bit about Modern Warfare but something quite extraordinary has happened. 7 other friends and I attempted to play a “Ground War” match, which is Modern Warfare’s rendition of “Big Team Battle” from the Halo series.

Ground War allows you to have up to 9 people per team in a large scale 18 player battle.

So, as we began the game I began to modify my classes and prepare for the next match. The next thing I noticed, the match type changed to a “Free for All” match with just my friends. At first we were confused as to why this had happened, but then realized how great and fantastic of an opportunity we had.

Being that my friends and I are fairly smart what would you do? No, we did not take time to give each other 10 Tactical Nukes nor increase our kill death ratio. We decided to rid ourselves of the impossible challenges that the game has to offer such as: kill and enemy with a care package, killing someone with their own equipment(Claymore or C4) through a wall, or helping a few friends get the “Marioed” version of Captain Price.

The best part of this was that it was all 7 of my friends, so we were able to get most of these objectives completed without the hassle of any one else killing us.

Is this cheating? No. We did not modify the game or cause anyone to lose their rank. We just took advantage of a great opportunity.

Now, the thing with this glitch is that I think it’s happened to me before. I remember attempting to join an “Express Team Deathmatch” mode and ended up in Hardcore. It appears to be of random occurrence and I can’t seem to figure out how. Either way, I’m happy that I was able to get some new titles and emblems.
