The latest paid content for AEW Fight Forever from Yukes and AEW Games has been announced.

In November tag team duo Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, collectively known as The Acclaimed were announced as the first piece of DLC in Season 2 of AEW Fight Forever. Sadly, “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn was not included in the DLC.

The second piece of DLC for Season 2 has been announced with a gauntlet tournament mode called Beat the Elite. In Beat the Elite: “Players face 10 randomly selected wrestlers from AEW’s world-class roster. The last fight will always be against one fighter from “The Elite” such as Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Adam “Hangman” Page. Winning all those matches will reward the player with different in-game cosmetic items, depending on the difficulty setting selected.”

AEW Games has promised that Season 2 will include a total of three new wrestlers; we know that The Acclaimed takes up two of those slots. What’s more, it will include 37 new move-sets, 60 new attire options, a new AEW Dynamite arena, the Beat the Elite mode, as well as something called “The Storm is coming” which I presume has something to do with Jade Cargill, now with WWE. Season 2 is available for £19.99 and the Beat the Elite mode is purchasable separately for £5.79/$6.99.

In my review for GAMINGbible, I said: “AEW Fight Forever probably won’t be winning any end-of-year awards, but whether you’re a pro wrestling fan or an arcade brawler, AEW Fight Forever will be one of the most fun video games that you’ll play this year.

AEW Fight Forever is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
