AEW: Fight Forever finally gets its long-awaited release date. Happy days!

Announced in 2020, AEW: Fight Forever was supposed to release in 2021. However, with the combination of the COVID pandemic, not to mention all the troubles that video game development can bring, AEW: Fight Forever faced a lengthy time in production.

Though to be fair, AEW star Kenny Omega, who has been working closely with Yuke’s and THQ Nordic has always maintained that the game will get a release date when it’s ready, with no pressure of a deadline. To be honest, I’m a fan of that approach.

Thankfully however, we can finally report that AEW: Fight Forever will be released on Thursday, 29 June 2023 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

“When I first signed with AEW, Tony Khan gave me the opportunity to assemble the best gaming team that understands and respects professional wrestling, to make the best wrestling games ever,” said Kenny Omega, Executive Vice President and former AEW World Champion and World Tag Team Champion at AEW.

Kenny continued: “Thanks to our incredible collaboration with Geta, YUKE’s and THQ Nordic, a new era of professional wrestling gaming is quickly approaching. AEW: Fight Forever has exceeded my highest expectations, and I’m confident that June 29 will be a momentous day for wrestling fans and gamers alike.”

Since our initial announcement, fans worldwide have shown unbridled passion around the launch of Fight Forever, and AEW has proven through our exciting storylines and hard-hitting wrestling action that good things come to those who wait,” said Tony Khan, CEO, GM and Head of Creative of AEW.
