AJ Styles Is the WWE 2K19 Cover Star and You Can Win $1m If You Beat Him!
Following on from Seth Rollin’s being last year’s cover star, this year it’s the turn of the phenomenal AJ Styles to front the cover of WWE 2K19, hot on the heels of his performance against Shinsuke Nakamura during a Last Man Standing match at Money in the Bank.
Being this year’s cover star, also comes with its new marketing theme and that is “Never Say Never”, following on from last year’s “Burn it Down” theme. However, that is not all because there is also a unique competition that could result in you having a match against AJ Styles in WWE 2K19 which could net you a whopping $1m in prize money. Now that’s “phenomenal”.
The competition is open to various regions across the world, including the US, UK, Australia and more. You can read up on the competition T&C’s here. To enter for a chance to compete against AJ Styles you must beat a yet to be announced mode in the game, submit a video (aka a promo) explaining why you will beat AJ Styles in WWE 2K19, get to the semi-final round of the competition and beat other semi-finalist in WWE 2K19 and then you will get the chance to play against AJ Styles, and if you beat him, you’ll bag yourself the $1m prize.
As usual, there were also various editions available for the release of WWE 2K19 announced, such as the standard edition, Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Edition, While the exact contents are yet to be confirmed, here is what we know so far.
The Deluxe Edition has an RRP of £84.99 and comes with a copy of the game, the season pass, pre-order DLC and “access to the Collector’s Edition digital content.” The Collector’s Edition has an RRP of £129.99 and comes with a Deluxe Edition copy of the game with all the above digital content, Limited Edition Supercard content, “exclusive and rare physical items” and premium packaging. Once we know what all the exact content will be, we’ll update you here right away.
Finally WWE 2K19 will release on October 9th for those that pre-order the standard edition and October 5th for those that pre-order the Deluxe Edition and Collector’s Edition (PS4 and Xbox One only). WWE 2K19 will be available for PC (digitally), PS4 and Xbox One.
