Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus available now
The New Game Plus mode for Alan Wake II is available now via a free update for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Remedy Entertainment only teased last week that the New Game Plus would arrive soon and now if the update hasn’t already downloaded during sleep mode, it will do the moment you boot up Alan Wake II with an internet connection. The free updates come in the wake of two new expansions being on the way (cheap pun intended).
What’s more, the free update will not only bring the New Game Plus but also a new Nightmare difficulty, new in-game live-action videos that Remedy Entertainment does so well as new manuscripts that will make some alterations to the story when playing New Game Plus. Of course, any acquired charms, weapons and upgrades will also carry over. Remedy Entertainment has gone into further detail as to what the New Game Plus will bring.
In my review for GAMINGbible, I said: “Alan Wake II is another crown jewel in Remedy Entertainment’s library and a sequel that will delight fans. That being said, let’s just hope we’re not waiting as long for the next game.” Alan Wake II is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
