Alan Wake 2 expansions detailed by Remedy Entertainment
If you haven’t played the recently released Alan Wake II, then you’re missing out on an absolute treat. Seriously, this will probably be my personal Game of the Year and is well worth the 13-year wait.
Recently Remedy Entertainment announced that Alan Wake II would not only receive two expansions as well as free DLC, but also a New Game Plus mode will be arriving at a later date. However, details on the two upcoming expansions have been revealed.
As reported by VGC, the expansion details for Alan Wake II are as follows:
Expansion 1 – Night Springs
- Visions and dreams. Fiction is written and coming true. Fiction collapses and remains just words on a page. These are those stories… in Night Springs.
- Play as several familiar characters from the world of Alan Wake and experience the unexplainable in multiple self-contained episodes of Night Springs, a fictional TV show set in the world of Alan Wake.
Expansion 2 – The Lake House
- The Lake House is a mysterious facility situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake set up by an independent government organisation to conduct secret research… until something goes wrong.
- Explore the Lake House and embark on two separate adventures as the realities of Saga Anderson and Alan Wake collide again.
No release date has been announced for the New Game Plus, free DLC or New Game Plus at the time of writing, but hopefully, we won’t be waiting too long.
In my review for GAMINGbible, I said: “Alan Wake II looks better, it plays better, it sounds better and it brings scares in abundance. Alan Wake II is another crown jewel in Remedy Entertainment’s library and a sequel that will delight fans.”
Alan Wake II is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
