Alan Wake Sequel Is Still A Possibility

It’s been around 4 years (give or take) since Alan Wake finally released on the Xbox 360 and since then fans (including myself) have been wondering if we’ll ever see a sequel.  Well there does seem to be a glimmer of hope on the horizon, when creative director at Remedy Entertainment; Sam Lake spoke to xboxachievements.com.

When asked if we’ll ever see a sequel, he said “You never know about the future and as have we have said about Alan Wake, the sequel didn’t work out at this point. But definitely we are looking for opportunities to do more, someday, when the time is right.”

He also said that “We’re really, really proud of all the games we have made,” he added. “And obviously all of them are dear to us. They have a special place in our hearts.“

Also Xbox chief Phil Spencer added more fuel to the speculative fire by saying (when quizzed by a fan on Twitter):

@FlyerFy @remedygames is pretty busy with QB right now. I think any future AW would have to be a Remedy game.

But seeing as how long it took the original Alan Wake to finally release after years of delays, I wouldn’t be holding your breath for a release any time soon.
