Alien: Isolation – Survival Mode Revealed, Trailer Released & Season Pass Details
Ok so you thought the name of the game in Alien: Isolation was about surviving, well in fact it still is, but what if I told you that an extra mode for Alien: Isolation has just been announced which empathises the term survival furthermore? Well Sega and The Creative Assembly have done just that, as they have announced a new Survival Mode for Alien: Isolation.
The Survival Mode will pit the player in a one on one scenario with the Xenomorph on your chosen map. The player will have limited resources and will take on a set of objectives if they are to be victorious and successfully escape the clutches of the universes most deadly predator. Players will also be greeted with an end of mission score, depending on the time taken, what objectives they completed, were they spotted etc. The scores will be uploaded to the online leaderboards to compare against friends and other gamers alike.
The Survival Mode DLC will ship in five separate packs post launch, each will include three maps and their own unique set of objectives, as well as their own characters and enemies. A demo of the Survival Mode will be included in copies of Alien: Isolation, which will allow you to play on one map called Basement. The first of the Survival Mode DLC packs will be available to purchase from October 28th.
In addition, Alien: Isolation will also include its very own season pass. The season pass will feature all five Survival Mode DLC packs and will grant you a discount at up to 25% when purchasing the season pass, in comparison to buying each DLC pack individually. All the Survival Mode DLC packs will be released by March 2015.
