Activision and Beenox has released the launch trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which releases this week for the PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360.  You can check out the all new trailer above.

Though in an odd twist of events, despite being indefinitely delayed, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has appeared on the US Xbox One Marketplace for digital download.  The news first appeared on NeoGAF when posted by user Wario64.  The user has posted various images including the option to buy screen and achievements; he has even started live feeding gameplay footage on Twitch for which you can check out HERE.

There doesn’t seem to be any problems with the game technically, so there’s no clear indication as to why it was indefinitely delayed for the Xbox One.  If I was going to take a guess, with Sony owning the movie rights to Spider-Man, it wouldn’t surprise me if they wanted the new gen experience to be a PS4 exclusive, for now at least.

Below is an image from Wario64 (you can checkout more images on NeoGAF), also our own Barry went to see if he could still buy the game now and it appears to still be the case, though it is on the US store and not the UK.  I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a deliberate error by Microsoft in an attempt to get some sales for a game that is clearly ready for shipping, but that is of course my own speculation.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 releases this week for the PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360.
