Update 02/12/15: After appearing on a Korean ratings board a little over a week ago, Resident Evil 6 has now appeared on the Australian Classification board, adding even more fuel to the speculative fire.  Capcom are yet to confirm this potential news, but it’s looking ever more likely.  I for one will still have no fingers crossed for a Resident Evil 5 & Resident Evil 6 new-gen collection.  We’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear of any new developments.

Original Story 23/11/15: Capcom nowadays are sinking their teeth into the HD remaster business, we’ve already seen in the past twelve months a Mega Man HD Collection, Resident Evil HD Remaster and during this coming January 2016, we will be treated to a Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster.

But according to the Korean Game Ratings Board, Resident Evil 6 was spotted for PS4 and Xbox One by Gematsu, which would indicate that a HD version may very well be on its way.  If true, it seems somewhat of an odd choice by Capcom, as Resident Evil 6 certainly wasn’t their most favourable outing, especially as its one of the games in the recent times in the series to favour action over horror.

And it begs the question, with this game being initially a multi-platform release and only releasing in 2012, it’s not like many would have not of had the opportunity to play it the first time around, unlike perhaps Resident Evil 0 which originally released on the Nintendo Gamecube back in 2002.  Personally if I was a betting man, it wouldn’t surprise me if Capcom released both Resident Evil 5 and 6 in some sort of HD collection.  As they say “watch this space”.

Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 officially confirmed for new gen - PushStartPlay February 25, 2016 at 5:30 PM

[…] After much speculation, Capcom has now officially confirmed that there will be a new gen release of Resident Evil 6, but there will also be releases of Resident Evil 4 and 5 for PS4 and Xbox One. Naturally each game will have improved visuals, though I’m not expecting anything too drastic.  Resident Evil 6 will come with all previously released DLC, including content that was only available through ResidentEvil.net. I assume that Resident Evil 5 will also come with its accompaying DLC. […]
