Update: Rockstar Games have now posted a new image on their social media pages that all but confirms that a new Red Dead title is on the way.  Over the weekend, they posted a Rockstar Games red, weathered logo image that seemed to represent the popular western videogame series.  Now the updated image as seen in the tweet below, features seven silhouette characters with a red/orange sunset backdrop.  The image even appears on Rockstar’s official website.

Will it be a third game in the Red Dead series, a direct sequel to Redemption or will it be a remaster of Red Dead Redemption?  I don’t know how many more times they will tease us before they release some kind of gameplay  trailer, but seriously, the suspense is now killing us!

Original Story: So over the weekend Rockstar Games changed their social media profile pictures and banners to a red, weathered logo that resembled Red Dead Redemption on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  This subtle change set the internet into a complete frenzy and there are reports that people reacted by shitting on cats!  I have no official word on this, but I have reached out to Rockstar for an official comment (about the cat thing, not Red Dead).

Cat mistreatment aside, many are hoping that we will get a new Red Dead game, which we all know is coming as its been rumoured for quite some time.  Whether it will be a new Red Dead game or a remaster of Red Dead Redemption remains to be seen, perhaps we could get both?  Or perhaps Rockstar are completely trolling us and laughing at us as we speak?  Heck, it wouldn’t be out of the realms of possibility that we could just get a mobile version of Red Dead Redemption?  (Probably not…hopefully not).

It’s also worth nothing that prior to GTA V being revealed, Rockstar Games did something very similar before it was officially revealed seemingly out of nowhere months later.

What do you make of Rockstar Games social media frenzy?  What do you hope it will result in? Have you shat on a cat?  Let us know in the comments section below.
