One of the best games in the Assassin’s Creed series is reportedly in development. We are of course talking about the game in the title, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Released way back in 2013 (yes, it’s really been that long), Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is the pinnacle of the Ubisoft series. It featured a charming protagonist in Edward Kenway and it let players live out the best pirate fantasy life.

Well, it seems that fans will be able to live the pirate life once more and I’m not talking about Skull & Bones or shady downloads. As reported by Kotaku, it is claimed that two sources have claimed the Black Flag remake to be in development.

However, the sources also claim that the remake is in the very early stages of development, as it apparently won’t be ready for release until “a few more years”. So don’t expect a reveal to happen anytime soon.

It is claimed that Skull & Bones developer Ubisoft Singapore is developing the remake, but doesn’t that totally alarm you, this studio also helped the development of Black Flag. In particular, the Singapore-based studio helped to create Black Flag’s ocean technology with its animations and physics.

Obviously, at this time, we should take all rumours and speculation with a pinch of sea salt until proven otherwise. That being said, would you like to see a remake of Assasin’s Creed IV: Black Flag?
