Rumours have been making the rounds in recent months that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is getting a full remake and if the most recent rumours are to be believed, production has now begun.

As spotted by Twitter user Jorraptor, a LinkedIn profile for a Ubisoft concept artist is seemingly working on an “unannounced project” as of September 2023. According to the LinkedIn profile in question, the Black Flag remake is being handled by Ubisoft Singapore, developers of the troubled Skull & Bones, which doesn’t fill me with the utmost confidence, it has to be said.

Ubisoft hasn’t officially confirmed this apparent leak, so we should take the gossip with a pinch of salt, but given previous rumours, there may be no smoke without fire. As a fan of the series, in particular Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, I’d love to see a full remake, as long as it receives the respect that it deserves. It may also be safe to assume that the remake will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
