Assassins Creed Liberations HD Announced For PC, PS3 & Xbox 360
Ubisoft has announced Assassins Creed Liberation HD for the PC, Playstation3 and Xbox 360. As you may know, Liberations was a PS Vita exclusive title, but much like Resident Evil Revelations on the 3DS, it’s now making its way onto the big console in glorious HD. Assassins Creed Liberations is set in the year 1765 during the American Revolution and stars Aveline de Grandpré takes on the evil Templars, who have control over the slave trade in New Orleans.
Below are the official details in regards to Liberations storyline:
The year is 1765. While the seeds of the American Revolution are being sewn in Boston and New York, Spanish forces in the South plot to seize control of Louisiana for the Templars, threatening to forever shift the balance of power in the New World. As Templars secretly take hold of the slave trade in New Orleans, Aveline de Grandpré, an assassin of mixed French and African heritage, stands ready to defend her people. She soon finds herself on an unforgettable journey that will take her from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins. Whether eliminating her enemies with new assassination skills or luring them into cunning traps, Aveline strikes mortal fear into the hearts of those who would stand against freedom.
This is not the only announcement to be made, as an all new Assassins Creed experience will also be making its way to the Smartphone and tablets. This new instalment is called Assassins Creed Pirates and will be dedicated to the naval combat gameplay element that has become very popular within Assassins Creed 3 and of course will be a part of Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag.
Below are the official details from Ubisoft for Assassins Creed: Pirates:
Ubisoft Paris is developing a brand new mobile engine to bring groundbreaking 3D visuals to Smartphone’s and tablets. As players sail the breathtaking moving waters and discover lush islands, they must keep a watchful eye for the wind cycle and the changing weather conditions that will directly impact gameplay.
No release dates have been given as of yet for either game, releases are expected to be announced “soon”. So with a bit of luck, we’ll see both games before the year is out.
