Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey has been out for a good 18 months or so now and in fairness to Ubisoft, even without its two large expansions, it’s been a game that has been well supported with additional free content, as well as the usual quality of life improvements.  So it was safe to assume that the game wouldn’t be receiving any further content updates, other than any bug fixes that may be required.

However, out of nowhere, a new content update has gone live this week that adds the iconic Ezio costume for both Alexios and Kassandra to wear.  The update does come in at 4GB, which seems quite large for an extra costume alone and while acquiring this costume won’t be as simple as just selecting it, according to the Ubisoft Club app, it will unlock via a “community challenge”.

At this time, this Community Challenge is unspecified, but on Reddit, the Ubisoft community manager domvgt said “Stay tuned for more details, such as availability and unlock conditions, in the days to come!”, which should explain the 4GB size, if the game is to receive added story/mission content.

Who knows, perhaps we might even get a tease for the next Assassin’s Creed entry in Odyssey at some point this year via content updates?
