Assassin’s Creed Odyssey March Update Trailer Reveals New AC3 Remastered Details

During the March update trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, we learned some new details on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered, which is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 29th, then for Nintendo Switch at the end of May.

We already knew that this remastered version of the game will have an improved User interface, graphics, mini-map and several gameplay improvements, but now we know a little more.  For example, to go with the new mini-map will be a new navigation map, so that you can explore the world a little more easily.  Characters skin shading will be improved upon, to make them more expressive and the world will be filled with fuller crowds and vegetation.

In terms of gameplay, stealth will also be improved.  I know the Assassin’s Creed franchise has often been built upon stealth, but that aspect wasn’t so great in ACIII, as Connor was more of a brawler.  However in this remastered game, just like in more recent entries, you can whistle to lure in enemies when hidden and you can utilise a double-blade assassination, none of which was in the original ACIII.

These subtle changes will give the player a more updated approach on how they choose to complete missions.  ACIII Remastered will also include new outfits such as Bayek’s from Origins and Aguilar from the movie. You can also see a glimpse of an outfit from Odyssey and Shay’s from Rogue in the video below.

Also this month, we’ve already had the release of the third and final episode of Legacy of the First Blade, but on March 26th, we’ll be getting the 7th free episode of The Lost Tales of Greece.  With it comes The Abstergo Pack which contains a new gear set, mount, bow, a new ship design, figurehead and crew theme.  This, along with a new Captain Octopus Legendary Lieutenant skin will be available March 19th.

Finally, this month’s Photo Mode contest will be Myths and Legends, which will take place from March 14th until March 21st and if you win, you could grab yourself the Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Spartan Collector’s Edition.
