Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass & Premium Edition Announced

Update: The pricing of the Premium Edition has now changed to £79.99, which now makes sense.  Originally in the official press release, the Premium Edition (which includes the game and its season pass) was priced at £87.98, which offered you no saving whatsoever.  Now of course with the updated price, you will save just under £8, in comparison to buying the game and the season pass individually.

Original Story: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced and detailed a Season Pass and digital Premium Edition for the finale of Rocksteady Studios Batman trilogy with Arkham Knight.  The Batman: Arkham Knight season pass will be priced at £32.99 and will grant you discounted access to post-launch story driven missions with additional “super-villains invading Gotham City,”.  The season pass will also include “legendary Batmobile skins”, advanced Challenge Maps, alternative character skins and even new drivable racetracks (so we’re getting the chance to race with the Batmobile, I’m hoping it includes online leaderboard functions).

The digital Premium Edition will include both the game and season pass, and it will have an RRP of £87.98 for PS4 & Xbox One, and £67.98 for PC.  Very oddly the standard digital edition of Arkham Knight is priced at £54.99, so if you bought the season pass on its own as an addition, it will cost you £87.98.  So there is literally no discount benefit for buying the Premium Edition, surely it would have been an incentive to at least make a saving of £5?  It certainly baffles me as to why there is no discount with the Premium Edition, hopefully this will change in the near future.

The content for the season pass will be released on a regular basis within the following 6 months after the release of Arkham Knight.

Batman: Arkham Knight will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One June 23rd.
