About a week ago we published a story regarding Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition (that’s a long name) appearing on the Xbox 360 Marketplace, though no details were given as to when we could purchase this game and for how much.  Well now Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed the release of this once Playstation Vita and Nintendo 3DS exclusive title.

This version of this game will come with improved HD graphics, 5.1 surround sound enabled, a fully voiced narrative and an all new map.  In addition all those that link the game to their Warner Bros. ID (WBID) account, will have access to the Zero Year Batsuit skin.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition will be available to download from April 2nd via PSN, XBLA, Nintendo eShop and Steam for £15.99.  To help celebrate this occasion, below is an all new trailer and screenshots.

After gang-fuelled uprisings occur within the walls of Blackgate Prison, Batman is called in to restore order and put an end to the rebellion before the chaos implodes. As the story progresses, players will explore deep inside the bowels of this remote island penitentiary and discover what happened after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins and learn more details of the Dark Knight’s past.
