Warner Bros. Montreal is advertising job vacancies for a new project described as a “new open-world action game”.  This is of course is the team that brought us the somewhat unreliable Batman: Arkham Origins, the game in which WB infamously stated that they have no intentions on fixing its bugs, so that they could concentrate on developing and selling us DLC, which as you can imagine didn’t go down well.  I was one of those infuriated gamers, as I had encountered a repetitive game-breaking glitch that resulted in me finishing the game on my third attempt.

It’s understandable if the gaming community are somewhat sceptical of any future projects from WB Montreal, especially if they’re working on a sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins.  However, the job listing also states that the project is for “a new IP project for next generation game platforms” and that they are “a passionate dev team developing DC Comics-focused AAA games that evolve and celebrate the legendary brands of Warner Bros.

Looking at the quotes above, this project might not even be a sequel to Arkham Origins, especially if it is a new IP.  So let’s get the speculation wheel moving shall we?  Will we get a Superman, Green Arrow, The Flash or The Suicide Squad videogame or perhaps something entirely different?  While I do have doubts with WB Montreal, it still can’t deny the fact that it’s an exciting prospect with the picking of the entire DC Universe.

Do any of the above mentions excite you or would you like to see another DC adaptation?  Perhaps you have no faith in WB Montreal what-so-ever or you might give them the benefit of the doubt?  Let’s get the conversation going in the comments section below.
