BattleBlock Theatre Beta Coming To Steam
BattleBlock Theatre is a game all about running, jumping and collecting across various different stages and levels as you progress through the game.
You’ve been shipwrecked on a mysterious island and your mission is to “find a way to save everyone’s best friend Hatty Hattington from becoming a jerk forever.” BattleBlock Theatre can be played solo, but also online and split-screen as you attempt to co-ordinate your way through the 450+ levels that the game has to offer.
The Behemoth stated today that they will be releasing BattleBlock Theatre on Steam this year and you can sign up for the closed beta, which will be held during the final week of March, from the 24th to the 31st. You can sign up as long as you have a working computer, an active Steam account and are 13 or over. So if you meet those criteria, sign up whilst you can.
The Steam version will have several new features that the XBLA version does not. Most notably: Weapon switching, to allow players to cycle through primary and secondary weapons through the game, new ‘Cat Guard’ enemies throughout Story Mode and finally, the inclusion of Steam Workshop and Steam Inventory integration. This will allow users to create and share custom levels and trade in-game goods respectively.
Don’t miss out on the beta and sign up before it’s too late.
