Bayonetta is back, and finally on the PC, bringing her iconic over-the-top-stylish action capable of rendering to various HD resolutions at 60 fps, and of achieving 4k resolution (3840×2160). Also the game has been apparently been fully optimised for PC, and includes Keyboard and Mouse controls as well as coming with both Japanese and English voice overs.

The game is currently available on Steam, and users who purchase it before the 25th of April will get the Digital Deluxe edition at no extra cost, which includes a 5 track soundtrack sampler and digital art book from the original climax edition, enhanced with even more concept art, and exclusive wallpapers and avatars.

Along with the Launch trailer posted at the top of this article, the developers have also released a behind the scenes Developer Diary for Bayonetta, which features interviews with the original creators.

Bayonetta follows the story of the titular character, who is the last survivor of an ancient witch clan, who keep the balance between light, dark and chaos. However, after 500 years of being entombed, Bayonetta is revived, an event that ripples back cataclysmic repercussions.

“We are dedicated to bringing high-quality, best practice PC conversions of our back catalogue games to our fans, and Bayonetta was a great fit. Bayonetta is one of the most often requested PC conversions of our games, so finally being able to launch it on Steam is fantastic. There’s more to come!” – John Clark, Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing for SEGA Europe.

Sega is also currently exploring PC port options and is looking forward to sharing more news soon. I personally really hope that Vanquish will make the cut!
