Activision has just released the campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts, one that highlights the events leading to the games main story. In it you can see an orbital super weapon which is dubbed ODIN, Orbital Defence Initative” and how it is used to attack America, paving the way for a larger invasion. The trailer also shows you the Main Character for the first time and some really cool set-pieces. Also, the music you are hearing is the variation of the main theme for “Ghosts” with the main melody you get to hear on piano. Do note that it was also playing before the reveal show a few months back. Unfortunately, as of now, the composer has not been revealed.

Personally, I am really looking forward to this game as it looks to have an engaging storyline, one that will play off on the right set of emotions. However, that really isn’t a surprise as the game has the talented, Stephen Gaghan on board as the writer, who is working hand in hand with the game devs to  craft a memorable experience. For those of you that do not know about him, Gaghan is the Oscar winning writer responsible for “Traffic”, a movie that had a terrific cast to go along with its heartbreaking plot. A movie which I would recommend any movie enthusiast to watch. Stephen Gaghan also said that he would like the story and bond between ghosts to feel realistic and emotional, during the reveal interview with Geoff Keighley.

Also, it looks like that we will not only be fighting underwater, but also in space. The demo they had shown for the underwater section during the initial reveal was really interesting, for which you should read my initial response. So it is now left to see how the space combat will fare, maybe we will have an MP mode inspired by it, who knows? Anyways, be sure to watch the launch trailer below and play the game when it comes out on the 15th of November for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with next gen console versions releasing soon after!
