Capcom Files New Trademark for Onimusha

It’s been just over two years since we’ve last heard any news, but news regarding a new Onimusha has re-surfaced.  Capcom has filed for the trademark application in various regions including the European Union Intellectual Property Office in Europe, as well as the World Intellectual Property Organisation (type in the keyword “Onimusha” in the search bar via the link).

However, as reported in December 2015, while the name for “Onimusha” has been applied, it’s not clear at this time whether this will be a reboot or a form of the early process for a HD Collection.  We could very well get both, especially as Capcom love HD re-releases, but hopefully it will be a brand new game in the series, likely a reboot and with E3 just around the corner, we may not have long to find out.
