Unfortunately I never got to experience the awesome Alien: Isolation in VR, but I heard nothing but positive (and terrifying) reports, however, it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting it updated for PSVR anytime soon (if at all).  Yet, to coincide with its release during May of this year, Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant will be getting its very own VR experience.  This according to Variety will be available on “all major platforms.”

This VR experience will be directed by David Karlak and will release at around the time of Alien: Covenant, it will be developed by Fox Innovation Lab and MPC VR.  According to the official blurb, the Alien: Covenant experience will be a “dread-inducing journey into the depths of the Alien universe. Viewers will discover the true meaning of terror as they navigate through horrifying alien environments and a story where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.

Also, according to sources close to Bloody Disgusting, the game began production December just gone and will have its players experience firsthand what it’s like to have an Alien burst out of your chest!  In-game of course, not in real-life, because life as we know it will be over and Earth will be overrun by Xenomorphs!

Alien: Covenant will follow on from the movie Prometheus and will further detail the origins of the haunting Xenomorph!  To get your Alien juices flowing, you can watch the Alien: Covenant trailer below and also check out our review of Alien: Isolation here.
