Ignition Entertainment and Zombie Studios have announced a fully realized Co-Operative mode for their downloadable FPS, Blacklight: Tango Down.  In addition to expected multiplayer modes like Deathmatch, Blacklight: Tango Down will allow players to team up with up to four friends to undertake special “Black Ops” missions and earn extra experience points and weapon upgrades.  Players will then be given a score based on how well their team completed the mission, giving dedicated groups a chance to improve their strategies and score for next time.

“With Blacklight: Tango Down, we are raising the bar for what gamers can expect from DLC, with the kind of experience that traditionally is found in AAA retail game,” said Ajay Chadha, President of Worldwide Publishing, Ignition Entertainment. “Cooperative play is a critical part of today’s multiplayer experience, and Blacklight: Tango Down will deliver on this fun and dramatic way to play alongside three of your friends. This kind of elite content is what separates Blacklight: Tango Down from other DLC and makes it the most fully featured downloadable-only shooter available on any console or PC.”

Blacklight: Tango Down is a multiplayer focused FPS being exclusively released as a downloadable title in Summer 2010, for XBox LIVE, the Playstation Store, and PC.
