Prior to this year’s E3, a rumour started circulating that Rockstar Games is working on a console-centric remaster of the rather divisive, Team Bondi’s LA Noire. Initially the title was rumoured to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation VR – but as it turns out, the return of LA Noire is set to be much bigger than many have expected.

LA Noire is set to return to the mainstream market this November, and it will come under numerous guises. Primarily, the title is set to come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a complete 1080p/60fps glory, with a wide array of upgrades, which are set to be on par with other modern remasters. However, whereas the title was initially rumoured to feature full VR support for the PlayStation version, it has been announced that the VR version is in fact coming, but only to the PC through HTC Vive. In addition, HTC Vive version of the title will not feature the entirety of the game, as it will only posses 7 cases, and it is likely to omit the free-roaming sections.

Whether or not LA Noire: The VR Case Files – as the HTC Vive version of the title is known as – will feature the complete “experience” is still unknown, however, the wording used by Rockstar suggests that it is highly unlikely to happen. But stranger things have happened, such as the fact that LA Noire is also coming to Nintendo Switch, and nobody expected this to ever be the case.

All versions of LA Noire’s re-imagining are set to launch on 14th of November, simultaneously and while the launch date has already been publicised, the pricing of the title is still an unknown. However, it is likely that this particular remaster, just like all the others, will launch at about £30 for PS4 and Xbox One and £40 for the Nintendo Switch version.
