Crysis Remastered Announced for PC and Consoles (Including Switch)

After teasing us earlier in the week via the official Crysis social media pages, Crysis Remastered has been officially announced to the world.  This will be an updated version of the legendary PC system breaker from 2007, which later saw watered down re-releases for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Crysis Remastered will feature a “major visual upgrade”, as well as improved resolution, textures, assets, anti-aliasing, motion effects, lighting and much more.  At this time, I assume that Crysis Remastered will only feature its singleplayer campaign and will have no multiplayer.

To be honest, the 2007 PC version in its original form still looks great today considering its age, but it will be nice for console gamers that perhaps never experienced this iconic game to its fullest on current-gen systems such as the PS4 and Xbox One.  However, quite surprisingly, Crysis Remastered will also be releasing for the Nintendo Switch, but in fairness, this is a system with fantastic ports of Alien: Isolation and The Witcher III: Wild Hunt.

While we don’t have a set release date as of yet, Crysis Remastered will release this summer for all the above systems (including PC).  Are you excited by this announcement and do you think further remasters in the series will follow?  Let us know across our social media channels.
