Zombie Studios and Atlus has made the decision to delay the release of their forthcoming horror title Daylight until April 29th, it was originally set for release on the PC and Ps4 on April 8th.  But don’t begrudge the publishers and developers as the reason for the delay is “to make it scarier.

To help cushion the blow, Zombie Studios has announced that Playstation Plus subscribers will be able to pick up the game at a discounted price for a limited time over 2 weeks from its release.  But never fear though PC gamers, as you’ll be able to pre-order Daylight with 33% shaved off the RRP.

Zombie Studios had this to say in regards to the recently announced delay:

Let’s not mince words. First news you need to know about Daylight is that we had to delay the release date by several weeks. Here’s the thing: the way Daylight is developed is completely different because of its procedural generation.

In a lot of ways it really helped the team by streamlining the environment creation, but it’s taken extra time to make sure all the scare cues are properly implemented for maximum player effect.
Tl;dr: we’re fine tuning Daylight to make it scarier.
