Dead Space 3‘s appeal could further be bolstered as not only will the title offer full Co-op support throughout the single player campaign, but it will also offer Kinect support through voice commands on the Xbox 360. While these additions will surely see some criticism from the hardcore, they are purely optional, and serve to add to the core experience rather than force gamers to play it differently.

Using commands such as “Fire Stasis” “Request Medkit” and “Find Partner” in both single and Cooperative mode, you can quickly control the action with your voice. It will be interesting to see how many gamers use this feature, as the tension the series generally comes from the loneliness and atmosphere created by series creator Visceral Games.

Kinect Voice commands have been implemented in both novel and not so elegant ways, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one turns out.
