Exciting news for Survival Horror fans who do not possess (pun not intended) a console as the Director’s Cut for the sleeper hit, Deadly Premonition has been spotted on greenlight, meaning that you will need to vote for it if you ever want to see it on PC! Now this is certainly interesting as I am not sure of any other console only title that had come to the PC in such a way. Furthermore, seeing how we never got Silent Hill Downpour on PC, this might fill that void as from what I have played, it is absolutely engaging and scary !

Followed with the greenlight inclusion was this message from Rising Star!

Hi everyone! It’s true that Rising Star Games has published a few PC games in the past but, since this is our first release on Steam, we wanted to make it a big one and bring you something special! And let’s face it, nothing gets bigger than the gaming phenomenon that is Deadly Premonition!

We’re excited about the idea of bringing you an enhanced version of the already-improved Director’s Cut, but to do that – as with any Greenlight project – we need your help. So, if you want to solve the mystery of the Raincoat Killer on PC in the near future, please give us your support and help us make one of the biggest cult hits of the decade a reality on Steam very soon!

So there you have it, Deadly Premonition has a huge chance to make it to PC, seeing how there are already 500 + comments on the greenlight page, it seems to be doing well. None the less, if you love survival horror, or any horror games for that matter, be sure to vote on this page! Lastly, below are the specific pc features that were talked about and a video that was released. The game should be out by Halloween this year if it succeeds in the greenlight campaign!

  • A surprising new scenario from the game’s director, Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro
  • Enhanced HD graphics with new textures
  • Reworked control system allowing for an even better combat experience
  • Downloadable content to expand the mystery beyond the original game
  • New bonus DLC exclusive to the PC version!
