Defense Grid 2 Release Date Announced
The release date for Defense Grid 2 – the sequel to 2008’s critically acclaimed tower defence game – has been announced.
Defense Grid 2 will launch on 23rd September on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 and Xbox One.
People who pre-order the game will be rewarded with immediate access to the game’s beta (only for Windows users) and will contribute to unlocking a set of incentives, including the original game’s art book, as well as the original game and its expansion (view the full list of incentives here).
After playing the beta a short while ago, I am left impressed and excited to see what the new game has in store. Despite the limited content on offer in the beta, it is clear that Defense Grid 2 maintains its top quality tower defence action, as well as introducing a few new features such as coop multiplayer and a level editor.
