Over on Bungie.net, Bungie revealed the latest development roadmap and with it came the news that the second expansion for Destiny 2, Warmind will release next month.  Warmind will launch on May 8th and is expected to take us to the frozen ice caps of Mars to presumably do battle against a network of defence AI’s to save Rasputin.  This content has seemingly been rumoured for years now with whispers of it initially being planned to release during the height of the first Destiny, but it’s now set to release during season three of Destiny 2.

That is not all, because launching alongside Warmind, is the news that all PvP maps across all of the DLC for Destiny 2 will be accessible to all players, regardless of whether you own any of the DLC or not, which is great news as it means no one is locked out of the PvP multiplayer maps.  However, with the re-launch of private matches, you will need the relevant DLC to access that feature, which is a shame, but Bungie and Activision are a business and I suppose they can’t give everything away for free.  I just hope that with all maps being accessible to all, other franchises under the Activision banner such as Call of Duty might one day follow suit.

As well as Warmind and the PvP map news, alongside the content next month we will also get increased vault space, seasonal Crucible rankings, and the multi-emote tool feature and more.  Then later in the summer we can expect to see the return of Bounties, a new season event and PC clan chat.  During season 4, we will then have changes to the weapon slots, as well as the return of weapon randomisation, which will surely please those grinders out there.

Below, you can find an image of the latest development roadmap with all the need to know details.  They’ll also be a Warmind reveal via Twitch on April 24th where we’ll no doubt learn much more about the forthcoming content, so mark your calender’s Guardian’s!
