DiRT Showdown Gets Release Date, Demo, New Gameplay Video, and RaceNet

Today sees a lot of new information from Codemasters about their next entry into the DiRT series, DiRT Showdown, a title which aims to be faster and more streamlined than its predecessar, yet still maintaining the quality that makes the series as popular as it is.

First of all it now has a release date of May 25th for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC (Also available via Steam). There’s a new gameplay video entitled ‘Ultimate Hoonigan’ available below featuring Ken Block’s Ford Fiesta versus a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. This also ties into the special ‘Hoonigan’ edition of DiRT Showdown which is now available to pre-order at GAME and Gamestation, containing –

Sporting unique packaging, the DiRT Showdown: Hoonigan Edition will include an in-game cash boost, an online XP multiplier plus Monster Energy liveries for the Kohler D350, Duke Coupe and Ford Fiesta Gymkhana 3 and Hoonigan liveries for the Holbrook Growler, Logan Vulture and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X JUN(as seen in the ‘Ultimate Hoonigan’ video), redeemed via an online code.

A demo of the title will be released worldwide from May 1st, and feature both a solo and multipleyer event, available via your favourite download service. Also available when the demo goes live will be RaceNet, a free online hub for Codemaster’s Racing titles. Launching in beta, it will be an evolving interactive community platform allowing fans to track their Races, Rivals and Rewards.

DiRT Showdown will be available May 25th for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
