Some lucky folks at QuakeCon got the opportunity to go hands-on with the pre-alpha Doom multiplayer, which could hint that the console beta could be on its way soon.  Fans that pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order will be granted access to the Doom multiplayer beta, but we’ve not heard any details for some time.  However on the Bethesda Blog, they say that they have “big plans for fans”.

Also they say in the coming months, PC, PS4 and Xbox One players will be selected to participate in the Doom multiplayer Alpha taken from The New order beta pool.  So it looks like some lucky gamers will get to play in an Alpha, as well as the forthcoming beta.  Bethesda has urged gamers to redeem their Doom beta code ASAP over at this link and if you purchased The New Order digitally, you will already be in the Alpha pool, so no further action is required on your part.

Bethesda has also reminded us that all those that pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order will be eligible for the Doom multiplayer beta for when it kicks-off in 2016 before the games retail release.

In the meantime, you can check out some all new screenshots below of Doom taken from QuakeCon.
