In Europe, the hugely anticipated Dragon Age Origins: Awakening will be available on Xbox and PC at retail and also via download from Xbox LIVE® and the PlayStation®Network on March 19th. Awakening falls onto the original Dragon Age: Origins masterpiece, beginning where the first game ended.

Dragon Age: Origins throws us into a dangerously mysterious and beautiful world and now again in Dragon Age Origins: Awakening. It brings players ever deeper into the folds of fate to come face to face with many more path changing decisions and lurking evil.

In Dragon Age Origins: Awakening, players will assume the giant title of  Grey Warden Commander tasked with rebuilding the order of Grey Wardens and uncovering the mystery of the survival of the dreaded darkspawn after slaying the Archdemon. In this chapter of the epic RPG saga, players will once again make difficult moral choices including how to rebuild their order, resolve the conflict with the mysterious “Architect,” and determine the fate of the Darkspawn. Each choice will impact and shape the path of your hero. Players will also be able to import their saved character from Dragon Age: Origins or even start out as a new Grey Warden from the neighboring land of Orlais.

Created by the same team that created Dragon Age: Origins, the immense Awakening expansion pack introduces a brand new area of the world to explore, known as Amaranthine. In this dark and dangerous corner of the world, players will set out to unravel the secrets of the darkspawn and learn the true nature of their goal. Players will face a vast range of horrific and terrifying creatures including the evolved, intelligent breed of darkspawn and other menacing creatures such as the colossal ‘Inferno Golem’ and highly dangerous ‘Spectral Dragon’, proving a challenge for even the most advanced parties.

Dragon Age: Awakening also provides new customization tools for players to tailor their heroes and party and re-spec their character attributes, giving the game a giant boost in replay value. Featuring an increased level cap, abilities, specializations, new spells and items, plus five brand spanking new party members that players can further advance their adventures from Dragon Age: Origins.
