Dungeon Siege 3 shows off its bullet witch

Feast your eyes on the lovely Katarina Vignette, the newly revealed sharpshooting enchantress from Dungeon Siege 3 which is due for release May 27th (31st for North America) on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Expectations this title are mixed at the moment as it will the first game in the franchise to be created under new owner Square Enix and development house Obsidian Entertainment (of Fallout: New Vegas fame) the latter of whom isn’t exactly known for releasing polished bug free products.

From what I can gather you play as one of the last remaining members of the 10th legion, a once powerful organisation that helped found the great kingdom of Ehb but who are now shunned and hunted by the very people they were sworn to protect. Tasked with taking back Ehb from the traitorous Jeyne Kassynder, you chose one of 4 descendants of the 10th legion and then use them to hit monsters with sharp things until they drop some loot. Yes it’s that kind of game.

I think it’s more than a fair guess that Katarina will be one of those descendants and not just an ally NPC, but unfortunately Square Enix kinda forgot to say that in their press release and she’s not even mentioned on the official site at the moment. So yeah, don’t quote me on that one.
