Dying Light Battle Royale Mode Will Go into Early Access Next Month

Techland has announced that the standalone spin-off to Dying Light will be going into Steam Early Access next month.  The Battle Royale influenced mode entitled Bad Blood will see 12 players pit it out against one another, along with hordes of zombies in a map as players fight to scavenge for weapons, equipment and other resources in order to survive.  The Bad Blood battle royale mode aims to blend PvP and PvE.

Dying Light is known for its quite decent combat and well implemented parkour gameplay, all of which will be present in Bad Blood, as players attempt escape by getting to the helicopter in order to win the match.  As the slogan goes for Dying Light: Bad Blood12 go in. 1 comes out.

There’s no exact release date as to when Dying Light: Bad Blood will launch in Steam Early Access yet, other than the month of September and it’s not yet known as to when it will leave Early Access, although the press release does imply that it might last at least three months.  When speaking of the Founders Pack it reads “The $19.99 Founder’s Pack provides in-game currency and exclusive items, including the Founder’s Pass that will deliver 3 Legendary skins throughout the 3 months following the Early Access launch.

Bad Blood will be free-to-play when it officially launches, but in order to get involved in the Steam Early access phase, you will have to purchase the Founders Pack.  During the Early Access phase, the developers at Techland hope to refine the core gameplay aspects with the aid of community feedback and it will be supported with free updates that will include new maps, modes, in-game items and so forth, all of which will make it over into the full release.

However, before Bad Blood enters its Early Access phase, there will be two global play-tests in preparation, which you can sign up to here.  The first play-test will start on Saturday, August 26th to Sunday, August 27th from 5pm-5pm BST.  While the second play-test will start on Saturday, September 1st to Sunday, September 2nd, also from 5pm-5pm BST.
