#E32015 Doom Gameplay Trailer, Releases Spring 2016

At the Bethesda E3 conference, one of the events most highly anticipated titles made its gameplay appearance with the iconic Doom.  To be honest while I believe the gameplay trailer did look awesome, it did come across as a little too fast paced for my liking.  But hopefully that was deliberate for the benefit of the gameplay trailer and I’m hoping it will be at a more methodical pace come release.  Speaking of which Doom will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One during spring of next year.

Anyone that has pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order will be granted access to the Doom multiplayer beta, which hopefully we’ll see at the end of this year or early next.  According to the press release; Doom’s multiplayer will capture its “signature, fast-paced arena-style combat. In both classic and all-new game modes, annihilate your enemies utilizing your personal blend of skill, powerful weapons, vertical movement” and will feature “unique power-ups that allow you to play as a demon.

Also according to the press release, it seems that Doom will have a comprehensive game and level editor, as detailed below:

DOOM SnapMap – a powerful, but easy-to-use game and level editor – allows for limitless gameplay experiences on every platform.  Without any previous experience or special expertise, any player can quickly and easily snap together and visually customize maps, add pre-defined or completely custom gameplay, and even edit game logic to create new modes.  Instantly play your creation, share it with a friend, or make it available to players around the world – all in-game with the push of a button.

Doom will release during spring 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, in the meantime be sure to check out the gameplay trailer above and the screenshots below.
