One of the coolest surprises for me this E3 personally was the announcement that Ubisoft’s For Honor will have a campaign mode. I originally thought that the game would be reliant on a multiplayer model, but I am glad that such is not the case. Irrefutably since the campaign’s setting itself genuinely sounds intriguing.

From what I have seen of the campaign gameplay, it looks as though it will be going for a hack and slash inspired route with a far hanging camera and added combat fluidity. Where it gets interesting however, is when the fights become harder, the combat becomes more personal. On top of that the UI seems to indicate that players will be required to properly position their blade in order to successfully block an attack that can come from at least three different directions. Furthermore, there is a separate campaign for separate factions, and the gameplay above comes directly from E3 and features the viking campaign.
