Anthem was officially announced to the world at the Xbox E3 press conference and to be honest, from what we saw, the gameplay looked absolutely stunning.  For months now, it has been rumoured that Anthem will be EA and BioWare’s take on the Destiny formula, and while we’ve seen “Destiny Killer” pretenders to the throne, including The Division, nothing has come close to knocking the share-shooter off its perch.  But if the Anthem gameplay matches its promise, then we could have a very promising alternative indeed.

Anthem, which is a shared-world action-RPG, will feature vast worlds to explore, treasures to hunt and dangers to fight head-on.  EA stated “Our developers at BioWare have been creating something special“.  Anthem will be playable with up to four friends with fully customisable Exo-Suits, as well as unique upgradeable weapons and abilities.

Anthem will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Fall of 2018.  It’s going to be a long wait, so in the meantime you can watch the stunning gameplay reveal below (over and over if you wish).
